Data Deletion Request
This page explains how to permanently delete your Glambu account and the personal data associated with it, including any data received through Facebook Login. You can exercise this right at any time, free of charge, under Article 17 GDPR and UK GDPR (right to erasure).
Option 1 — Delete your account in the app
- Open the Glambu app and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
Option 2 — Send us a deletion request
If you can no longer access the app, contact us through any of the channels below with the subject “Data Deletion Request” and the email address or phone number you registered with, so we can verify your identity.
We confirm receipt of every request and complete verified deletions within 30 days, as required by Article 12(3) GDPR. You will receive a confirmation once your data has been erased.
If you signed up with Facebook Login
You can additionally remove Glambu’s access to your Facebook account:
- Go to your Facebook Apps and Websites settings.
- Find Glambu in the list.
- Select Remove and confirm.
What we delete
A completed deletion removes all personal data linked to your account, including:
- Profile information (name, age, bio, preferences)
- Photos and other uploaded media
- Matches, likes, invitations and messages
- Location data and app usage data
- Data received via Facebook Login (name, email address, profile picture)
- Device identifiers and push notification tokens
What we may retain
In limited cases we retain a minimal set of data after deletion, only where the law allows or requires it (Article 17(3) GDPR):
- Payment and transaction records — kept for the periods required by tax and accounting law.
- Safety and fraud prevention data — limited identifiers of accounts banned for violating our terms, to prevent re-registration.
- A record of your deletion request — to demonstrate compliance with your request.
Retained data is stored securely, isolated from active systems, and never used for any other purpose.
